Santorini is a great place for shopping that can actually be combined with nice evening strolls looking down to the endless blue of the Aegean. Shops in Santorini, especially in the summer months, are open from around 10 o’clock in the morning till late at night. Most shops open in April and close around the end of October. Late night shopping is a must on the island - many places stay open till after midnight (summer season only). Pharmacies take a lunch time break, while on weekends you will find a note on their door with information on which pharmacy is on duty. Keep in mind that banks and other public services shut their doors just after lunchtime – and are not open on weekends. Official business related to bank or town hall matters is best done on weekday mornings.
