Public means of transportation for every need and budget

Athens is a vibrant city and its public means of transportation operate accordingly to cover the needs of both locals and tourists.

ATHENS TRANSPORTATION HOURS: The blue buses and yellow trolleys run daily from 5:00 am to midnight. The 040 Piraeus-Sintagma bus, very useful to reach the largest Greek port and the beautiful islands, operates on a 24 hour basis.

ATHENS TRAM HOURS: Trams run from 5:30 am to 1:00 am, but on Friday and Saturday nights they run till 2:30 am.

ATHENS METRO HOURS: Athens Metro line 1 runs from 5:00 am till 01:15 am. Athens Metro lines 2 and 3 run from 5:30 am till 1:00 am. On Friday and Saturday nights the last trains leave a few minutes before 2:00 am.

ATHENS X-BUSES HOURS: The airport express line Χ95 from Syntagma (center of Athens) operates on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week.

ATHENS TAXI HOURS: Taxis in Athens are available 24 hours a day, but do not forget that the rate doubles from midnight till 5 am.
